Category 6 (also Cat 6) twisted pair copper cables. Used for networking via Gigabit Ethernet, Cat 6 cables are backward compatible with Cat 5, Cat 5e, and Cat 3 standards.
Cat 6A
Category 6a (also Cat 6a) twisted pair copper cables. Used for networking via Gigabit Ethernet, Cat 6a cables can operate at frequencies up to 500 MHz.
Cat 6e
Category 6e (also Cat 6e) twisted pair copper cables. Used for networking via Gigabit Ethernet, Cat 6e cables are backward compatible with Cat 5, Cat 5e, and Cat 3 standards.
Cat 7 Category 7 cables are shielded twisted pair cables capable of carrying 10 Gb Ethernet over 100m. Unlike the Cat 5, Cat 5e, and Cat 6 cables, Category 7 is not a recognized standard by TIA/EIA.
